Session 8: Interview

03/02/23

I interviewed my class mate Isaac which was interesting since we had never really talked about our opinions on the fashion industry. It was nice because even though it was supposed to be an interview but it felt like a conversation where both of us where learning about each other’s path to where we are now and where we want to be in the future.

I feel like these type of activities are a way of reflecting on different aspects of my artistic abilities as well as the ones I want to develop. It is easier to talk about it with someone that knows about the subject rather than with a friend or family member that might not understand what I love about fashion.

These are the questions that I planned to ask Isaac:

Has fashion always been something you wanted to do or did you start to like it later on?

What is your favourite item to buy and why?

Where do you usually buy your clothes?

Where do you get your inspiration as an artist?

Which artist would you recommend people to know?

Do you think the fashion industry needs to change? If so, in what ways?

What do you think about your young generation in the fashion industry? In what ways do you think they are changing the fashion world?

Currently:

Would you recommend someone to study fashion in London?

Do you enjoy working in an international and diverse environment?

Are you scared or confident about your future in the art world?

I wanted to create these pages in a way that would reflect Isaac’s personality which is why I used bright colours and and fun layout.
