Session 6: Shooting in South Bank

27/01/23

What I loved most about this shoot is getting too work with other people from my class, it was fun to all get together and shoot each other in different ways. I not only was able get good pictures from my partner but I kept bumping into other groups and gave each other ideas to collaborate and get more content. I realised how important it is to listen to people’s creative ideas. I was able to make new friends and the best thing is we all got images that we loved so it was very fun.

What I loved the most about this shoot is experimenting with the styling, I came with some bright pink tights and three skirts and sweaters of different patterns and sizes to style the tights. I was very happy with the outcome and I think that maybe next time I could experiment more with styling jewellery to change the focus and learn new things.

These next images show styling ideas that I looked at before choosing the final ones:

I thought it would be better to add more colour since Southbank has some bright walls.
I didn’t think that this one was playful, it felt too obvious.
Styling a different skirt to change during the shoot.
This ended up being one of my final outfit choice.

These are some unedited images from the shoot

Some of the edited images that I didn’t use in the zine:
